Malta for kids – big and small ;)

We have spent six winter days on magic Malta. Our girl is five years old, and this is her top five 🙂

RAMLA BAY, Gozo

Summer or winter – sandy beach is always a good idea. And this one, located at the northern side of the island of Gozo is just perfect. It`s a nice place for a picnic… or running with your bare feets… and if you have a hula hoop… well, give it a spin 😉 After a beach time, you can drive or walk to the  Calypso cave. Actually, the Cave is closed to the public at the moment, but there is a great viewpoint from above.

PLAYMOBILE TOY FACTORY

She really loved this. We enjoyed the 45 minute factory tour. It was interesting to see how the toys are made. We even had a chance to assemble our own toy figure. After the tour, we played both, at the indoor and the outdoor playground. Also, when you take the tour, you get a 10% off to all Playmobile toys and the complimentary drink and cake... and I never say no to the cake. She, on the other hand, does not need a food. Even if it is a cake 😀 Running around, jumping, playing with the Playmobile toys – that`s all that she needs. This is not a fun park with rides, or something like that, but it is a nice way to spend an hour of two, especially if it is raining. Your kids will love it. You will love it too – not only because of a great cake 😉

POPEYE VILLAGE

Oh, my… this place is incredible 😀 View from the road is stunning, and when you get in, you feel like you are in a movie. This is actually a film set for Popeye movie that was filmed in 1980., with young Robin Williams as the Popeye. For a price of a 10,50 euros for adults, and 8,50 for kids, during the winter time you get a free drink, family photo and a free postcard (in summer there is a boat ride included in the price), but the best thing EVER is animation. Among the other things, every day, at 11.30 and 14.30 visitors get the chance to actually be in the Popeye movie. You don`t need to know how to act, believe me… you just need to let your self go and you will have so much fun. My girl is a little shy, so she did`t want to participate, but I was having the best time ever :D

There is also a big indoor playground at the restaurant, so you can easily spend a few hours at this stunning colorful place 🙂 And if you go there, say Popeye and Olive hi from me 🙂

DWEJRA – AZURE WINDOW, Gozo

Azure window is a pure beauty… nature at its best. Our kid loved it so much! She was running around, jumping over the small water holes… yup.. she was very happy 🙂 We were happy to. You just can`t feel anything else when you are at the place like this.

Can you see me? 😀

KENNEDY GROVE

This is a kids park and a great picnic area near Qawra, at St. Paul`s bay.. It is a classic park with slides, swings and things like that. Maltesian families love to come here and enjoy outdoor relaxation. So when your kid just wants to play, and you feel like you need a sandwich, sit on these wooden benches and relax.

So… even in the winter time, Malta is a good place to visit with your kids. Just go, and you will have a great family time. I know we did <3
